Marros Riding Centre

Marros Riding Centre is a family owned & run establishment providing horse riding & livery services to members of the public. At Marros we cater for all levels of riders from people who have never even seen a horse close up to the more experienced of riders.

We are located on the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border between Amroth and Pendine on the Coast road.

All staff have BHS and/or ABRS qualifications. All trek leaders have BHS Riding and Road Safety Certificates and are first aid trained. First aid kits and mobile phones are taken on all rides leaving the yard.

We take both individuals and families for treks along our woodland tracks.

For the more experienced rider we offer riding along the beach which is within easy reach of the centre.

We provide lessons for all levels of rider from complete beginners up to very experienced riders wanting to improve their skills.

We offer younger people the opportunity to own a pony for the day, learning what it is like to own a pony from all aspects (and I do mean all aspects, front & rear).

Please get in touch if you have any questions concerning anything on this site or if you want to make a booking for any activity.

Pony Club

pony club group 2In October 2005 Marros riding Centre became an Approved Pony Club Centre. This gives local children the same opportunities as children with their own ponies. In the first month we had 35 members join. We were amazed at the response by our local children and parents.

We held a Pony Club Activity Day every 2nd Saturday in the month until January 2008 when we had to increase this to Sunday as well. We have four groups of children and they have a Riding Lesson, Activity session, Stable Management Session and an Achievement Badge Session.

We have several parents who help out and this is greatly appreciated as it makes the day run smoothly, especially lunchtime.

In November 2008 we held our first presentation evening as we now have 62 members and we want to reward our hard working members whilst giving them and their families an evening of fun.

outdoor_CathAt Marros Riding Centre we pride ourselves on the facilities that we have to offer for horse riding in Wales. The farm is situated within half a mile of the sea in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside right on the border of Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. A private road leads down to the Marros sands beach. Perfect for the none riding members of the family to spend a day on the virtually empty beach.

We have tracks through our woodlands and connect with other forest tracks where you can ride for hours without seeing another person, and cars are of course banned.

The area is quiet and peaceful with a network of bridleways that enable you explore the countryside either on your own horse or as a member of an organised party.

On site at Marros we have good clean grazing with wonderful views over the sea towards Tenby and Caldey island.

We offer the exhilarating gallops along the beach for the experienced rider.

We have a floodlit indoor school that lets you ride at any time of day or night whatever the weather.

There is a surfaced outdoor school recently extended to intermediate dressage size, which is very pleasant to use on a sunny day.

Our Marros Munchies is a coffee shop selling drinks and snacks overlooking the indoor school where you can relax after your ride or watch the lessons taking place in comfort.
